WHY SHSMUN?
Use these materials and tools to help publicize SHSMUN in your school and gain a greater understanding of what SHSMUN is. Feel free to print these off and contact us with any questions you might have!
Here's some student feeback:
1. “SHSMUN has always been my favorite event of the school year. It encourages me to work, and do research. It requires me to work with and talk to people I don’t know. I love it. Even though I’ve only ever talked a few times at SHSMUN, it’s awesome.”
2. “I love SHSMUN! It runs so smoothly and is so fun! Thanks to all who made it happen! We appreciate it.”
3. “SHSMUN is a community of learners, achievers, knowledge-seekers, those who are curious, open minded thinkers, respectful, thoughtful, and concerned for the international community at large. It brings awareness of the global community, international relations and the different and varying facets of an argument and its merits."

"SHSMUN has been one of my most rewarding experiences in high school, first as a delegate and then as a chair. Not only have I become a better speaker and more internationally-minded, I have made amazing friends and had fun. We debated such important issues and I have found like-minded friends and been encouraged to think about things I would otherwise not consider. Every year, I looked forward to SHSMUN and it will be one of the things I miss most about high school. As a chair, it was amazing to work with delegates and introduce them to a program that has given me so much happiness. I strongly encourage everyone to participate in MUN and attend SHSMUN. SHSMUN stands out as one of the best conferences in the region because of the dedication of the staff and adult volunteers." -- Elizabeth Dia [2013 WHO Chair]
